To maximise the benefit of any suggested revision technique, you first need to think about what you are trying to learn, apply or remember. Then match the most appropriate technique. For example, for learning and remembering key terms and definitions, flash cards can have great impact. For historical events, try a mind map. Most importantly, when you are revising, focus on the learning, skills and nothing else - so put all distractions away!
