Biographies

Ms Beach - With a Masters degree in Biotechnology, Ms Beach began her career in research looking at marine biofouling prevention for the Technical Research Institute of Sweden. She used her knowledge to transition into product development for the pharmaceutical industry, until 2018 when she became a teacher. Ms Beach joined Langley Park in 2023, and became Head of  Biology in 2024.

Ms Derewnicka - With expertise in Molecular and Cellular Biology, Ms Derewnicka moved into science communication, and spent 6 years working for the global network of botanic gardens. In 2018 she became a secondary school teacher and joined Langley Park School for Girls in September 2023.

Dr Ncube - A PhD in Biological Sciences with a research interest focused on plant biology and phytomedicine. Before joining Langley Girls, Dr Ncube spent 10 years lecturing on Biological Sciences courses. During those 10 years, she was also part of a Schools Enrichment Program which provided support to secondary schools through teaching Science to GCSE and A level students. She joined Langley Girls in 2023.
