Thank you to those of you that emailed me your work from last time. I will read through those and provide you with some feedback. You should have received your marks for task 2 via email.

Part 1: Getting to know each other

Go to the Computer Science Forum here and answer the 7 getting to know you questions in the thread.

Read what others have put and see if you have anything in common with others 6th form computer scientists.

Part 3: Coding and Translators

Many of you have studied computer science GCSE and will be familiar with translators but it will be useful to have a recap and to introduce them to those new to the subject.

Translators made programming more accessible to more people, they allow us to type in English based code and then translate it into a format the computer will understand (called machine code).

This is a site created by the University of Cambridge to help A-Level Computer Science students. It contains lots of good details about most of the course as well as revision quizzes. Once you've joined I can set you assignments and see how you are getting on.
