Grammatik - Das Imperfekt

Over the last term, we have looked at the different topics you will encounter during the course. Now I would like you to work on your grammar so you can express all your ideas even more confidently.

The imperfect tense is used to describe past events which no longer have a relation to the present. You will mostly see it in written German like novels, articles and reports.

  1. Work through the pages on BBC bitesize below and create verb tables in your book.
  2. Choose a recent event you heard about on the news and write your own news report in German, using the imperfect tense. It does not have to be very long.
